Safety in Numbers
Your cardone Prepaid card is very safe. Just like many other credit and debit cards,
your cardone Prepaid card comes with Chip and PIN. It couldn't be easier to use.
Instead of signing a paper receipt to confirm your payment, you enter a four-digit
Personal Identification Number (PIN), just like you do at a cash machine. This means
it’s much harder to be a victim of fraud, as anyone wanting to use your Prepaid
card would need to know your secret PIN to make a payment with your Prepaid card.
If you think someone might know your PIN, contact our management team.
You can change your PIN to something more memorable
You’ll never forget your PIN again. We’ve now made it possible to change your PIN
to something more memorable.
To change you PIN, follow these simple steps:
- Insert your cardone MasterCard into an ATM displaying the MasterCard logo (we recommend
using a mainstream high street bank’s cash machines for this)
- Follow the on screen instructions and key your PIN
- From the on screen menu, select the "Change PIN" or "PIN Services" option
- Follow the on screen instructions to change your PIN
- You will receive an on screen message confirming you PIN has been changed
- You will need to use your new PIN when authorising payment and cash withdrawals
We strongly recommend that you do not change your PIN to a number that is easily
guessed such as 1234 or your date of birth. You shouldn't keep a written copy of
your PIN with your card or disclose to anyone, even retail or bank staff.
